ABOUT THE COCK
The Cock sits aside the Great Ouse river in the quaint village of Hemingford Grey not far from Huntingdon and Saint Ives. We are National Pub of the Year in 2019 (Good Pub Guide) and, being a gastro pub, we have also won Cambridgeshire Dining Pub of the Year a number of times.
Our traditional country pub serves local real ales and village cider in comfortable, humble surroundings. There are some lovely riverside walks along the Ouse up to Houghton Mill and through Hemingford Abbots. We welcome dogs in the pub but not the restaurant, and please note, we don’t serve food in the pub side during the evenings or on Sunday lunch times – sorry!
Meanwhile the restaurant serves modern British food. Try fresh fish from the daily board, succulent steaks, The Cock’s homemade sausages or a winning Sunday roast. Sunday lunch is now served 12 noon – 8pm.
For group or party bookings, please email firstname.lastname@example.org mentioning your preferred date, venue and number of guests.
