ABOUT THE COCK
The Cock (National Pub of the year twice in the last decade) is a country pub and restaurant serving modern British fayre. Expect first rate food and drink in traditional surroundings and al fresco dining in our lovely garden, served by our knowledgeable and friendly team.
The Cock sits close to the Great Ouse river in the lovely village of Hemingford Grey not far from Huntingdon and St Ives.
Our traditional country pub, a separate entrance from the restaurant, serves local real ales and village cider in comfortable surroundings. There are some lovely riverside walks along the Ouse River up to Houghton Mill and through Hemingford Abbots. We welcome dogs in the pub side but not in the restaurant. Please note, we don’t serve food in the pub side during the evenings or on Sunday lunch times.
The restaurant serves modern British food. Amongst others dishes, try our amazing duck parcel, fresh fish, a good choice for vegans and vegetarians, succulent steaks, The Cock’s famous sausages or a winning Sunday roast. Sunday lunch is now served all day 12 noon – 6pm.
For group or party bookings, please email us mentioning your preferred date, venue and number of guests.
