ABOUT THE COCK
The Cock sits aside the Great Ouse river in the quaint village of Hemingford Grey not far from Huntingdon and Saint Ives. We are National Pub of the Year in 2019 (Good Pub Guide) and, being a gastro pub, we have also won Cambridgeshire Dining Pub of the Year a number of times.
Our traditional country pub serves local real ales and village cider in comfortable, humble surroundings. There are some lovely riverside walks along the Ouse up to Houghton Mill and through Hemingford Abbots and we welcome dogs in the pub. (Please note we don’t book out any of the tables in the pub, these are offered on a first-come, first-served basis.)
Meanwhile the restaurant serves modern British food. Try fresh fish from the daily board, succulent steaks, The Cock’s homemade sausages or a winning Sunday roast. Sunday lunch is now served 12 noon – 8pm.
