It is always advisable to book. We are a busy place and so to avoid disappointment please book or call ahead.

Children of any age are allowed in both the pub and restaurant during the day. In the evening children must be 5 or over to eat in the restaurant and 14 or over to be in the pub. The garden is, of course, open to any age at any time.

Yes in the pub and garden but not in the restaurant. If you’re looking to dine with your dog then we serve food outside, everyday, during normal food service hours. Also in the pub Tuesday to Friday lunchtimes. We even have a separate menu or Dogs! For more info please call.

Yes, for about 25 cars. There is plenty of car parking on the street should this be full, however we do ask that you give a thought to local residents.

Yes for the restaurant but unfortunately not for the pub-side. The entrance is via the french doors from the garden. The wheel chair friendly toilet is accessible via a covered walk way to the rear of the pub.

Yes! We're very close to the lovely National Trust property, Houghton Mill. Several beautiful walks along and around The River Great Ouse come right past our door!

The restaurant and pub have separate entrances and as such the village pub has been retained. It is a wonderful, cosy environment in which to just come and have a drink.

We don’t but our sister pub and restaurant, The Crown and Punchbowl, in picturesque village of Horningsea has nine delightful rooms.
